Working Groups & Memorandums of Understanding

Governor’s Emergency Preparedness Advisory Council (GEPAC)

The Governor’s Emergency Preparedness Advisory Council (GEPAC) was created to assess the State's overall homeland security preparedness, policies, and communications and to advise on strategies to improve our current system. The Homeland Security Unit utilizes numerous Working Groups that act as subject matter experts and review grant applications annually to make recommendations on the allocation of Homeland Security Grant Program funding.

Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs)

Annually, after receiving an award from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, a MOU is developed to outline how each working group will operate and what projects have been approved by the Working Group.
